Hannah Montana concert
So, we made the treck to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus/Jonas Brothers concert last night. It was so much fun.

My favorite pic is on Heather's camera, so I'll upload it as soon as I get them. They had a cardboard cutout of Miley in front of the tour bus on the red carpet and there was this old woman posing in every picture. It turns out that it's Billy Ray Cyrus' mom, which is Miley's grandma. It was hilarious. I can't wait to see the pic.

Thanksgiving in The Villages
I thought I'd share a few photos that I like from our trip to Florida.
We saw the most amazing rainbow when we took the golf cart out to get the mail. By the time we got back to the house to grab a camera, it had faded some. When it was at it's peak, it was so bright and you could see every shade of color in it. We just couldn't belive it!
Kathy & Bob's neighborhood has it's own resident birds! Look at the color on their heads!
The Villages' mascot is the buffalo. They actually have a few herds that live on property. We never miss a chance to feed the buffalo carrots. Here's Jake, up close and personal with a buffalo.
Here's the baby that was born this year. Check out his tiny horns!

Our last night out to dinner, at RJ Gators.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We're down here in The Villages for Thanksgiving with Dave's parents. We're having a blast, as they put us up in a lovely hotel within walking distance of the square, shops & restaurants. The kids are staying with their grandparents and are enjoying time with them. Happy Thanksgiving to all our family & friends!

Bailey's 8th birthday party
Bailey's party this year was a tea party! The girls wore their fanciest dresses, ate fancy food, and sipped raspberry & sleepytime tea.
Check out that spread! We had chocolate dipped pb&j sandwhiches, ham salad sanwiches, cucumber mint sandwiches, cheese cubes, mini quiche, mini raspberry cheesecake, mini eclairs, cocoa chex mix, and sushi.

A fun filled weekend
Saturday morning I picked up Lesley & Giovanni from the airport. We get there just as her flight lands, but somehow she takes the wrong train and we don't see them for 45 minutes. Then, on the drive home, somehow I missed the exit for 75 and I ended up taking 85 north all the way to Chambodia. We get off at Jimmy Carter and head home. After a stop at Petco to buy a ferret leash for their kinkajou, Peeper, and a stop at Target to buy Les a dress so that she can go to a wedding with me that day, and then a stop at Publix to get food for Giovanni, we get home. It's after 2pm, we haven't gotten ready and the wedding is at 3pm...in Tucker. Needless to say, we didn't make it to the wedding. I'm sorry Kathy! I can't believe I missed your wedding. (sob)
By the time we got home, Pete and the animals had arrived at the house. Now, remember, Lesley and G had just flown from Orlando. Pete drove. We arrived at the same time. Yikes!
We made the day fun by going to Cagle's Dairy Corn Maize. We had such a blast and Giovanni ran the whole way while chanting "corn, corn, corn". It's the end of the season, so the corn is rather dead, but it was still a blast.
On the way there what do we see, but 2 people riding unicycles...on the main road. What? Unicycles?
We finished off the day with a game of scrabble.
Today, we went to church, which Lesley loved! Who wouldn't love my church? Then, we went to the park at a local church which was a blast. After that, we left the kids with the dads and headed out to Chili's for a snack and a drink before going to see the movie, Across the Universe. This is my new favorite obsession. Oh my lord, what a fabulous movie! The soundtrack is great too.
I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. I'm staying home from school to play.
