A Yummy Giveaway

Update: my winner is #2!

Where have I been lately you ask?  I've been flying under the radar, that's for sure.  I promise my blogging will pick back up soon because there are only TWO.MORE.DAYS.OF.SCHOOL!  Woot!

Last night I went to walk the dogs and found a package on my doorstep.  It was a package of Betty Crocker Mississippi Mud Supreme Bars. You've never heard  of them?  That's because they won't come out until this summer.  I was able to give them a trial run with a box PLUS a nifty metal pan to bake them in...and I get to give one of my readers a box plus a nifty metal pan!

Making them was easy.  You mix melted butter with the crust packet and then press it into the bottom of the ungreased pan. Then you mix the batter mix with more melted butter, an egg and a little water. Spoon it over the crust and then sprinkle the bits of crust that you reserved.  Bake for about a half hour and then pure bliss.  They are definitely different than brownies.  They are a bit more firm, but not dry.  The crust is salty, buttery goodness that reminds me of crumbled oreo cookies.  They are definitely a nice change from brownies and I will buy them again.

Do you want to try them before they come out in stores?
